The luxurious room featured stunning furnishings, but parking was very limited.

Unique historical architecture, cozy fireplace in the dining area, community-feel of the hotel
Noise from the street can be distracting!!! The parking lot is a headache to navigate, especially with limited spaces!!! A bit of modernization in the bathrooms would really enhance the comfort factor!!!

the kings head is a charming and quirky old building. the steep, twisty stairs added character, and the bar area and library were lovely spots to unwind. breakfast was nice, especially the fresh yogurt. i appreciated the quiet atmosphere and that it was a great location close to gardens and the river walk. i would definitely return, especially for the warm service that makes you feel welcome.
strongly recommend

Family with children cozy experience
The breakfast was excellent, best fried eggs I've had in ages and the staff were genuinely friendly, made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.
It wasn't exactly a bargain but I'll say it was worth it.

would love to stay here again
We had a superior double room. It was spacious with a flat-screen TV, an electric kettle, and heating. The bathroom was well-equipped with free toiletries and a hairdryer. Breakfast was top-notch, with locally sourced ingredients and the evening meals were equally delicious. The atmosphere was charming with cozy spaces to relax. The staff were super attentive.

Had a wonderful stay with a cozy superior room and delicious breakfasts every morning! The atmosphere here was great, and I loved unwinding on the sun terrace while enjoying some live music. The only downside was the parking situation, but honestly, it didn't take away from the overall charm one bit. 😊

We had a wonderful experience staying for two nights with our dogs. The team went out of their way to ensure we felt welcome, even turning up the room heat for us. The breakfast was delicious, with good quality local produce, and our evening meal was equally impressive. The room was charming, featuring an old fireplace and large entrance door, adding to the character of the place. We also enjoyed meeting fellow travelers with dogs in the library dining area.

Cozy hotel in a great spot!
We had such a nice time! The room was super comfy with a cozy bed. Breakfast was def the highlight, with a huge selection. We climbed those winding stairs a lot, but it was fun exploring the old building. Only thing was the shower pressure could've been better, but no biggie.

A Memorable Stay in a Charming Setting
My five-night escape offered delightful interactions with the friendly staff, who made every meal special. The breakfast selection impressed greatly, especially the piping hot options. Just a tip, ask for a room away from the main road for a quieter night. a fantastic experience!
